Sarphati Hotel

The two stars for this "hotel" are a big joke. This is not a hotel! No way! You´re paying a big price for a simply hostel! First and more important thing: THERE IS NO LIFT! And the stairs are so tiny, it looks like a precipice. You will never be able to go up with your luggage. And then, you have the smallest room in the whole europe: in the twin room, the bathroom is inside a door that looks like a closet, there isn´t a window, and is so disgusting.... I´ve never seen nothing like this. The staff are so friendly, that make you never imagine what´s coming... but DON´T YOU EVER THINK ABOUT STAY IN THIS HOTEL.

+ The owner was very helpful, friendly. staff was efficient and unobtrusive. breakfast was good room, room was clean, beds were comfortable. no complaings. - There was a surcharge of 4% for using a credit card to pay for room. when i pointed out that when i booked online, the price was inclusive & i had used a credit card to reserve and there was no mention of a surcharge in the rates, then they waived the 4%, but if i hadn't argued, i would have been charged the extra.

Very cosy small hotel .Good breakfast,security and comfort. Profesional and pleasant staff on the reception desk. Good location(park Sarphati) with easy enter to the city centrum. Value for money?Depend on rate....

My wife and I booked a double room for 4 days based on the web pages and description. This hotel is definitively not 2 stars. The room was not clean, the shower not working. We were asked to pay all 4 nights immediately upon arrival. All the noises pass from room to room se we were woken up by neighbors going to the bathrooms etc... The first morning, we asked to check out at 9h30. We were told that the policy was no cancellation no refund. I argued and complained but only the last night was reimbursed. We paid 416 euros and got back 85. The manager would not talk to me and the guy in charge was mean. Please go somewhere else; there are so many better places!

At the start of our stay our impression of this hotel wasnt very good due to our room being on the third floor and having a very bad smell coming for the bathroom. We where then moved to the 1st floor which was a MUCH better room and this made our stay quite good. The staff are very friendly and will try to help you as much as possible. Excellent breakfast.

+ The location was great, just beside a tram stop, that takes you to cetraal station! also near a nice area with wine/tapas bars. 20 mins walk to rld! - Hotel was small, and rooms a little crampt. but if your using the hotel for a base to sleep and breakfast, and all your days are out exploring this hotel is fine!

+ Staff were vey helpful and welcoming. the hotel is very clean and maintained to a high standard. nice to have private access to a garden. breakfast times were good, not too early and the selection of food was excellent. i would stay at the sarpharti hotel again and recommend it to family and friends.

+ Clean and friendly. Good location (Sarphati Park, Tram access). - Bathroom size like those in airplanes. Stairs very steep and dangerous. Breakfast too simple. Charge of 4% for credit cards.
