The quentin hotel has branches in Amsterdam city. The one near Vondelpark is nice place although small. The service is not bad. The breakfast is not included in price. The taxi to cental station costs about ten euros and the area is quite safe with many hotels and market.

+ Staff were friendly and polite. the hotel was secure as you need to ring the bell to get in at night and show your key. the room was nice and clean on arrival - The room wasn't cleaned, and the sheets were not washed for the duration of our stay. there is no safety deposit box. i had asked for a twin room and was given a double. the window in the room was hanging on one hinge as the other was broken.

+ The location was great - We had to ask for towels 3 times before they were delivered as there were none in the room when we arrived. staff weren't helpful, our room was at the back of the hotel next to a construction site so were woken very early every morning. hotel has no air con. and the weather was very hot, therefore we didn't get a lot of sleep and because we had to have the window open from the heat we got covered in insect bites. also the steps into the hotel are very steep which was fine for us but for any body with a slight disability or who is slightly older they will struggle to get up them.
