Prinsen Hotel Amsterdam
Vondelstraat 36-38 - 1054 GE Amsterdam
The charming 3 star Prinsen Hotel is perfect for a relaxing stay in Amsterdam. The Hotel is also close to Leidseplein where guests are spoilt for choice by the great selection of restaurants and bars catering for all tastes. The Hotel was built around 1870 by the famous Dutch Architect P.J.H. Cuijpers and consisted of two private houses, no's. 36 and 38. There are numerous dissimilarities between the two. 36 has a chalet roof timber, is a little lower and has a dormer. 38 has a bay window, but the balconies which enclose the bay, continue to 36. These balconies are supported by black consoles, and those of no. 38 are decorated with classical columns. On no. 38 there is a relief of a cat chasing mice. All the hotels 45 charming rooms are comfortable furnished and offer a peaceful nights sleep away from the lively nightlife of Amsterdam.

+ When we were checked in, the staff member was very helpful and gave us a lot of information - One of the staff on the desk was quite rude to us on one occasion and also, our room was a little shabby in decor

+ Near all main attractions, bars and restaurants. room small but bedding and towels spotless. excellent value for money. staff were genuinely helpful, particularly receptionists. - No air conditioning, nights were unbearably hot but this is reflected in the price of the room. thankfully no night noise even though we had window fully open.
