The staff at this hotel couldn't be more pleasant and helpful, maps and guides were offered before asking. If booking this hotel you should be warned that it is not as close to the museums as the blurb states. When it says 5 mins walking, it should be by tram/car, it's a LONG walk!There is the No.2 tram running along the street which is very useful. The room we had was slightly disappointing, two beds were pushed together to make the double and the windows and curtains were dirty. However the bathroom was lovely and spotless. The breakfast is excellent, for a buffet style,with plenty on offer. Beware the breakfast costs extra, 10 euros each per night. Overall we had an excellent break, Amsterdam is as fab as ever!!

+ Room was clean and quiet. we would stay here again because it was in a nice and safe area. couple tram/bus stops from dam square.

This hotel was a great place to stay. It is right next to Vondel Park, about a comfortable walk from Central Station. Nice quiet main street. Restaurants and shops along it all. I will stay here every time I come to Amsterdam.

Good Hotel, Bad Information This hotel is pretty nice, but we had some real problems with the staff. We asked the woman running the breakfast if there was a charge for breakfast, and her response was, "No, no charge." Upon checkout, we learned that we were being charged 35 euros per breakfast! We definitely wouldn’t have eaten there as often, if at all, if we had known it was so expensive. Also had trouble with calling a taxi-- the front desk staff didn’t listen to our requests and called an airport shuttle instead of a taxi, which was frustrating when we had a train to catch!
