We stayed in August and were overwhelmed by the overall class of the hotel. The location couldn't have been better (right in the middle of Dam Square.) The staff was friendly, professional, and inviting. Our room had a pleasant view and the ammenities in the hotel were excellent. We really enjoyed the bar to relax before going out on the town. Our friend recommended this place to us, and he is a genius for that. We will definitely return soon!

Having stayed in many Amsterdam hotels over many years, I had come to the conclusion that they were all clean, comfortable, and welcoming, but ultimately rather average, dull and unexciting. The Krasnapolsky changed all that. It provides a balanced mixture of traditional opulent elegance and modern comfort and convenience, combined with a quality of service second to none. Breakfast in the Winter Garden is a treat not to be missed - excellent food and wonderful surroundings. The restaurant for dinner is amazing - heaven for foodies like my partner and me - with excellent traditional haute-cuisine dishes cooked to perfection. Location? On Dam Square - right opposite the Royal Palace, on the tram routes and a few minutes walk from Centraal Station - perfect!

It's located right in the hub of activity. Want a bike? Across the street. Red light district? Two blocks. Reasturants, stores, coffeeshops, less than a minute away. it was perfect for me.

I stayed at this hotel on the first business trip I ever took to Europe, and have always gone back since. It is grand in the old European style. The people were helpful, friendly, and most of all very professional. The location is perfect for most of the sights in central Amsterdam (the RL district is out the back door - it is also the club and restaurant district as well...). The Central trains station is only a few blocks which takes you direct to Schipol Airport. All in all a unique experience. There is no other place that I would stay in this old city.

+ I've stayed here three times in the last year, the combination of city center location and overall value for the dollar makes the Krans Apartments the best place to stay for and extended time period. - My room wasn't cleaned during my 8 night stay, and
