This was a lucky find for me and my brother, (28/30yrs old at the time) last October. The location you will find is excellent. The train did not bother us at all in the morning. Your a quick walk from just about anything in town, 5 min walk to the brewery, I want to say it took us 15-20 mins to walk to the Anne Frank House, about 5-10 to the red light district, and I can't remember the name but there is a really popular nightclub 3 buildings over. There is a huge food court just 3 blocks over, as well as a nice place to eat right on the bottom floor, which has great outdoor seating for people watching. The price was a little high for us, but as we just lucked out that they had a couple rooms un-rented I think we got a pretty good deal. They were extremely clean, always helpful and very polite. They had a employee at the time, can't remember his name, that could speak 6-7 languages. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and plan on returning when I can.

There was a group of 4 of us that stayed at this hotel in February 2008. The service was very good and the rooms were always cleaned to the highest of standards. The location was great and the 3 sisters pub next door is the perfect place to have a few drinks to start your evening. The only thing that I didn't like much was the breakfast that is provided, the food tasted very bland. All in all though I'd highly reccommend this hotel to anyone who wants a great base close to all the attractions in Amsterdam.

NH Caransa offers good location to the clubs located on the Rembrandtsplein. Also centrally located between the center of Amsterdam and Leidesplein (Heineken tour and Hard Rock Cafe)

+ Very friendly and within walking distance of top attractions - A little noisy as they are working on the tram line outside and tables and chairs are dragged in off the square in the early hours of the morning.

Really enjoyed this hotel. Relaxing break, very clean and well presented rooms, helpful staff. Bit noise from trams and people outside at the pubs. Two issues however: One of the tram numbers listed on your hotel info that should get us from the Centraal Station to the hotel actually got us lost. It didn't go passed the hotel. It actually went up to the brewery. Secondly. It was indicated, although I can't be sure, that breakfast was included in the price, however we were charged €16 each extra. There were also local taxes to pay. This wasn't mentioned when we booked.

+ Location - I prefer flooring over carpets anyday. but it was not a big issue. The water pressure was not very strong either.

+ Good selection of food at breakfast, and being able to have breakfast as late as 10.30 was even better. excellent location & staff very helpful. would definitly stay again. - Only negative was the fact that if you didn`t like taking the lift there was no other way down from the different floors.
