Walking distance to almost everything in town. Quiet luscious interiors. Dining room good, but pricey. Next time in Ams will rebook at this hotel.

+ Good location, good bar area. - Rate for room is too high - should be 30% lower; prices for minibar and room service are absolutely outrageous.

+ The barbizon palace is a great hotel with excellent staff & just around the corner from some of amsterdams attractions - The price of the hotel was very expensive at 200e per night & this was a special deal.

The location of this hotel was perfect, close to the train, trams and metro. We really enjoyed the hotel! The food was good especially the "koffee", that was served with a little chocolate treat! My husband got sick and I was by myself. I asked the concierge(Sam)for help and he was so friendly and knowledgable even lending me his personal copy of an (American) Amsterdam pocket tourist guide! He went above and beyond to help me out I was very impressed. I highly recommend this hotel an plan to stay there again.

Excellent location and price as quoted on-line.Rooms good size and comfy beds. Only price of breakfast 25 euros each was a bit steep so had to eat out each day.Would stay here again due to location near good bars and restaurants.

This hotel was within walking distance from the train station and all of the major sights. It sits on a corner with some great pubs and restuarants nearby and with the windows closed is very quiet. Our room was very large and had a great number of amenities including numerous bathroom products. The bath was also very large and bright. The hotel had a great bar and breakfast. The hotel also accommodated an early check-in, service to the airport and had a great concierge staff.

For Eur129 per night, was expecting a fairly small room, especially as the hotel was so central (1 minute walk from Central Station)- instead it was a suite on two levels, champagne on ice greeted us, and it was so good we thought there must have been a mistake! Excellent hotel, exceptional value - highly recommended...
