Tried to submit this a minute ago and was disconnected - not sure you got it. Guest House was accurately represented and we were met by the proprietress, Katya, who was pleasant and helpful. It was located as specified and Katya's email correspondence was prompt and reassuring to travelers to a foreign city. The apartment was clean, bright, comfortable and included amenities such as salt, pepper, cleaning items for kitchen, coffee, beer, milk and more which was helpful as we planned to cook meals (restaurants in this city are generally overpriced and disappointing to us). Be prepared for stairs as there are many and they are daunting (we were prepared). The only downside was the last night of our four day stay, the downstairs tenants started partying late and loudly - we did not feel like asking them to be quiet and should have woken Katya but did not - the next morning we told her what happened and she said she would have had no problem dealing with the noisy neighbors. She was totally pleasant and helpful throughout our stay, even directing us to free public parking which was about 15 minutes away from the location.

What a great place to stay in Amsterdam.. the owner was lovely and very friendly..

+ We found the lady who ran the apartment very friendly. the place was nice and well looked after. upon arrival we discovered tea bags, coffee, milk and beer. a definate plus as the previous places i'd stayed could only be described as 'squats'. all in all, for the money we paid it was great. - No

+ Staff made our party feel welcome and apartment had all facilities that you would need.

+ Not far from the train station which was brilliant! nearby most things. would recommend the coffee/bar just down the road, the chineese across the water and the bulldog. ann frranks museum was ace to! dont eat pizza from the nearby place not that great a bit dirty. if arriving late to hotel walk to the red light district for food alot nicer. great location and great rooms. katherin was very helpful and very friendly! - The discripton on the website needs updating as it told us there were more bedrooms than there actually was. mainly sofa beds and put up beds. we managed to make good use of what we had and it was stil very comfortable for all of us!

+ The room just had everything we needed and was very comfortable. the lady was very helpfull and everything was really good. - The only this is that you should be out at 11 o'clock, a bit early, but i guess it's like that everywhere. and do mind the stairs.

+ The actual apartment did not match the pictures on the webiste 100% but it was a lovely apartment. the flowers and card on arrival for my birthday was a nice touch. it was a very good locaion (approx 5min walk from the station) and an easy walk into town and all of the local attractions. we were able to store our luggage in the owners apartment on our final day which was also very helpful. - On arrival, there was no answer to the bell marked nemo! panic stations!!! then on approaching the neighbouring hotel, the staff their informed us that this often happened and that they thought it may be an illegal service! double panic stations!!! when trying to call all of the numbers provided there was no answer. it was only due to luck, as we were waiting on the doorstep, that some ash from someone in one of the overhead windows cigarettes fell on us that we were let in! we were also ripped off by the owner who requested our full payment in cash (we were not told this would happen or that we would have to pay in cash so had to give our combined spending money!), which she receipted for us. later that morning she came and requested another 50 euros as she said that we had not pain in full (despite her giving us a receipt for all of the money (which was in full!) that we exchanged eralier that day. the smell of drugs that came from her room hinted at her lack of cognitive ability and definite mistake over the matter but she would not back down and we had no choice but to part with more of our money. there were approximately 8 steep staircases to reach the apartment and there was also no prior warning of this - no problem for us, but feel it should be highlighted for other residents who may not be so agile!

+ It was a great location to be in especially as it was not far from the airport and our flights were delayed so by the time we landed we were shattered! katherine was brilliant and made us feel very welcome. rooms were great and everything we needed. would recommend to a friend - The room discriptions on the website were incorrect and made us believe there were more rooms than available. maybe this needs updating also pictures may need updating. this did not matter and we made the best use of what bedrooms and beds we had
