I booked this hostel for myself and two friends a few weeks before we went to Amsterdam for the weekend. Hostels seem to fill up quickly within about a month of your arrival, so this seemed like a good option as many of the others could not...

This hotel is the balls .... they were working on elevator installation which fixed the only drawback, I liked the stairs I had never seen such narrow steep long stairs . This hotel is in the middle of everything with aIZBA coffee shop right around the corner its a great place to start the day. I would chose a different direction and walk till my legs fell off then grab a cab. All the cabbie know hotel linda. DONT MISS THE TRUFFLES (smart shop)

Lovely little hotel The beds were very comfertable we had a lovely view. This hotel is for sleeping mainly not for hanging out in your room. Very easy to get to Dam square and Central st (tram n.o 4)

Poor Hotel The first room I was given smelled badly of smoke when I had specifically requested a non-smoking room. I opened the window to air it out and I found the window sill was used as an ash tray with dozens and dozens of cigarette butts. Next I looked at the bathroom and found it didn't have a toilet. I never did find the toilet. I then returned to the front desk which was in another building down a very steep flight of stairs, which isn't a problem except I had to carry my luggage both ways, and then again back up when I was assigned to a new room in the same building. The next room was better. However, when I went to sleep I found the pillows smelled terrible. Either the cases hadn't been washed properly or the pillows needed replacing. On a positive note, the bed was fine and the bathroom was relatively modern and the breakfast was included.

You get what you pay for I booked two rooms at this hotel for the weekend. The rooms were small and basic. But I guess we got what we paid for. I wasn't very happy with my room though. It had a separating door to the room next door through which I could hear absolutely everything when the other occupant came back in. I could also smell the cigarrette smoke wafting beneath that separating door. There are no lifts in this hotel. Our rooms were on the third floor and in Amsterdam the climb up the staircases are very steep. So be warned. The room I was in appeared to overlook a tiny inner yard area. Very noisy at night.
