The price was very very good, but in the weekends may change a lot. The location was probably not so good, we always had to take the tranway to reach the most important part from the city. The atmosphere was good, but not excellent. I think that the best hostels are those ones where you get some people to share the days and make friends. I am an own traveller but I had made many friends in Brugge. If not, I think I wouldnt have made in this hostel.

I usually would not stay here but had over-budgeted on the flight. I was not expecting a great deal due to the very meagre price I paid for the room. It was a 6 share room but luckily only one other person was there. The matress was comfortable. The WC was adequate. The staff were friendly. There was a free breakfast. There was also a free internet service which you could use for 15 minutes although there were only two computers and they were usually occupied. The negative points was the location in relation to central Amsterdam. I made the mistake of walking from central station and it took 1 hour 15 minutes. However I quickly learnt that the number 5 tram was literally right outside the hotel and it only took a 10 minute ride back into the centre. Overall a good experience

Last Resort If you have no where else to stay, its 11pm and raining - then stay there...otherwise the rooms are extremely small as is the respect and intellect of the majority of the staff there. Rudely barging in the room at 10 am to tell us that check out is at 11am...and then coming in at 10.55 telling us we should be gone already.. Better places to stay for the money and convenience..

A very nice and, most importantly, CLEAN Hostel very close to the Concert Gebouw and Van Gough Museums. Impressed. James Derbyshire

+ It was a great location near a large park and the museum district. it was nicer than i had expected from the 1 or 2 star rating. overall a nice place to sleep after a lond day of sightseeing. - There was some mold or fire damage in our room, cause a little consern. also one of the people in our party was allergic to the fabric softner used by the hotel.

The double room we had was average - ensuite bathroom with a TV. It's a bit small but we didn't stay much in the room. The breakfast had average selection of food. There were two internet terminals to use for free. Came in handy when we needed to do online check-in. It's restricted to 15 mins usage if someone was waiting so it was quite fast. Location wise, it's walking distance to Rijksmuseum and van Gogh museum. The hotel is possible to walk from Amsterdam city but tram 2 and 5 are convenient enough to get you anywhere you want, including the windmill at the end of tram line 2.

Very small rooms, poor breakfast. great location (quiet, close to several museums and tram).

We loved the Inner Amsterdam! The hostel is a great place to stay, right in the Museum district and near the metro! It is nestled in a cute residential neighborhood behind concert hall. The staff was super friendly, there was a fun bar, interney, free breakfast, and a full bath in our 4 person (small) room. The place took great care of us and everyone else. Metro is 2 minute walk (or run if your late). Storage hold as well! It was perfect place to stay in Amsterdam. Our friends stayed at Shelter Jordaan and this seemed better.
