Hotel Janson is situated in a very good area of the city, near the world famous Concertgebouw, the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh and other museums, all within 5 minutes' walk. Naturally, it is also an excellent shopping area. You can park your car on the street or in a garage near to the hotel. The hotel can also be reached by several trams (2, 5, 12 and 16). The city centre and Central Station are a short tram ride (No 5) away. Breakfast is served in the guest rooms and Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel. This comfortable, friendly hotel is a perfect and affordable starting point for your trip to Amsterdam. Please note: - The hotel prefers payment in cash,when paying by credit card a surcharge of 5% will apply.- If you arrive after 22.00 hours in the evening, let the hotel know in advance. - We do not have an elevator and stairs can be steep.- In case of a No show or late cancellation, the hotel will charge you for the total amount of the stay. - During IBC (10-15 Sept. 08) a cancellation policy of 2 weeks applies. If cancelled after the cancellation policy 50% of the total reservation will be charged. During New Years and Queens Day a cancellation policy of 7 days applies. If cancelled after cancellation policy the total amount will be charged.

+ Some friendly staff - Being informed on arrival that they did not accept visa card and so could only pay in cash my room was double booked for first night of stay staff had to be reminded what my bill was attempted to charge extra 80 euro

+ The service and room facilities/service was of a high standard, staff were pleasant and there 24 hours. - Was not informed prior to booking that maintenance was being carried out on the tram lines right outside hotel and was noisy first thing on morning.

+ Breakfast deliverd to room at chosen time - Very expensive for a very average room. Breakfast was not the nicest. Would be better if tea/coffee making facilities were in the room. Lack of water pressure in shower.

+ Good location of the hotel.15 minutes walking distance from leidseplein.the owner was polite and willing to help whenever asked.good price in comparison with other hotels of the region. - Not professionally organised hotel.we didn't receive our breakfast every morning,unless we reminded the staff.small room and extremely small bathroom.

+ The hotel is situated in a real nice spot for sightseeing. and getting there from the station was easy especially with the directions on the web. the staff were also really kind and helpful and our room was always clean. and also seemed to know their way around town so could give good advice on how to make our stay as exciting as possible. - The hotel also promises internet access. yet there's only one computer available that didn't work properly.
