For all those looking for central accommodation in Amsterdam, the Hotel Hortus is the perfect choice as it is only a 15 minute walk from Central Station and is located close to Rembrandtplein, the Zoo and the famous Waterlooplein Fleamarket. Rooms accommodate between two and six people. There are twin rooms with bunk beds and shared bathrooms, double rooms with a double bed and some rooms has showers, triples with single beds and a shared bathroom and rooms for four, five and six all with bunk beds, private bathrooms. All of the rooms have heating , wireless Internet access and a TV. Amenities at the hotel include a pool table, wide screen satellite TV, video player, sports channel , Internet access and a left-luggage hall. Free tea and coffee are offered all day long and the Hortus lounge makes a great place to relax. Furthermore, drinks machine with beer at guests´ disposal. A big breakfast is included in the morning and staff are always friendly and helpful. A great choice for visitors to exciting Amsterdam!

+ The staff were very friendly and welcoming, they were helpful letting us know about places around amsterdam, the internet and free tea and coffee was a cool addition, smokin in the room was a plus too! - Shared toilet on one floor, but we never waited to use it.

+ Excellent location which is very close to dam. the room was spacious and had 4 bunk beds.it did not have television and the ensuite bathroom only has a shower and no toilet. - No credit card facilities!!

+ If, like us you just want somewhere clean to put your head down then this place is excellent. it's unbeatable in terms of value for money!. the location is good - near tram stop which goes all round the city!. comfy beds and friendly staff!

+ The breakfast room was amazing filled with character and my partner who is an avid football fan loved looking at all the shirts on display. the staff were friendly and helpful and made lovely eggs in the morning. - The sheets had rips in them and we shared toilet facilities, which could be awkward as often we had to wait a long time to get in their!

+ Bit disapointed to arrive and be told that are bookings had been cancelled not by us the staff did find us a room i am concerned that we had a confirmation of our booking and yet you guys did not. still coming back in febuary next year as like the hotel and staff are helpfull
