very close to the attractions of amsterdam & very friendly staff. the linens were changed everyday with helpful room service. breakfast was good as well.

+Location is perfect.

There was not a notice on the surcharge of 5% (five per cent) due to payment by credit card

No elevators but I had a huge bathroom for dutch standards and clean linen everyday. I would recommend this hotel if you plan on staying in Amsterdam and want to be close to all the main attractions.

the only thing think we didn't like was actually the breakfast: the room was clearly not enough, the offer not quite rich and the employees couldn't help the delays between making toasts, boiling eggs and refill everything..! everything else was perfect.

+ Friendliness - Its facilities were quite worn out, my room was not clean.

The groenhof is a clean, well situated, value for money hotel and we enjoyed our 4 night stay very much. The room itself was well equipped with a large shower en suite.

Nearly everything was fine here other than it being located just too far to walk it comfortably.Warm and friendly with a nice reception decor and breakfast room, good value if you dont mind catching the trams to get to the dam etc.Rooms had noisey slaming doors so busy rooms were noisy rooms!

This hotel is very close to the main train station we pulled into from Paris, so as soon as we checked in we were able to walk around the main part of the city where all of the restaurants and shops were. Not to mention the holocaust monument and the house that Anne Frank lived in is close by as well. The staff was always pleased to tell us where all of the cool places to go were and the best way to get there. Because there is virtually no crime there be prepared to walk but if that isn't your cup of tea they have all of the schedules for the bus and trolleys as well as the numbers for cabs.
