+ Staff were helpful and friendly. - I had a room that was very tiny and did not have a window. do not stay in room 204a when you go to hotel flipper. who would know that you would have to check to see if there was a window in a hotel room? i asked for a different room but they said they were full and as it was for one night only i stayed. i got up through the night and opened the door off and on to let in air.

+ The hotel offers rooms in a safer and quieter district of amsterdam. it also offers a very international scene with a great breakfast each morning. - However, at the same time this hostel is not for everyone. the shared accommodations are 10 rooms per bathroom and shower. rooms and facilities are as tiny as sardine cans. not sure if this would bother someone going to amsterdam: the rooms are all non-smoking but everyone smokes in their rooms all the time. residents were rude and loud at all hours of the day.

+ The hotel was a great value for money, everything was nearly as advertised. the staff was fantastic, accommodating and friendly. there were no problems of any kind. - The room was too small to put my 2 suitcases in. the double bed had only 30-50cm around the bed, and that was the whole room. i had to move one case onto the bed to be able to open the door. the bathroom was quite dark, but relatively clean as far as i could tell. =)

+ Very good breakfast, in a nice neighborhood, clean room and restroom, decent service. - The room was tiny, almost felt claustrofobic.

+ Comfortable rooms, good breakfast, cheap price and 24 hour reception. - Hotel was advertised as being within walking distance of the museum district of amsterdam, although it was possible to walk from the museums to the hotel, i would not consider this "walking distance", the hotel was in a different quarter of amsterdam

The room was quite poor, but for the price we paid was good. Tiny but clean, comfortable bed, and private bathroom. The location is not very good if you want to go out till late at night, otherwise is a 10/15 minutes tram to the central station.
