Hotel Damrak

Towels were not provided, had to ask for them. The sheets were not changed daily - I suffered from bed bug bites EVERYNIGHT. Phone charges are a ripoff - 0.30 per minute on local calls. DO NOT USE THE PHONE IN THE ROOM. The location of the hotel is excellent - 3 blocks to the Centraal Station and 2 blocks to the Red Light District. I wouldn't stay in this hotel again. Find another hotel.

+ More than we expected. beautiful view with a top level balcony in the choice of our quad room. - The breakfast was warm milk, cereal, ham, cheese, hard boiled egg, and orange juice. i recommend going out for breakfast even though it is included.

Good, basic hotel on the Damrak. Single room a tad small. Hotel staff were helpful. Probably won't stay there again.

whilst staying at the Damrak my sister in law became very unwell and ended up in hospital. I can only commend the staff there for helping us get an ambulance. Please if you can forward my sincere thanks for all the help which they gave us.

I booked the room for 2 nights at 150 euro and received the email stating then the next day I received a confirmation for 250 euro. I could not cancel because I received the email past the cut off. For that I was disappointed. But I did work it out with the hotel. I was told by venere that it should have been 250, I don't know if I will book again online here or not since to me that was a big differene in price with no explanation. That to me is fradulent advertising. Luckily I kept both emails to prove the price quoted.

+ Fantastic location, the room was a decent size and although the bathroom was on the small size the bath and shower were clean. - No air-conditioning made the room really hot, there were no tea/coffee facilities which would have been appreciated. also the breakfast was poor, luckily there was a full english for 5euro just down the road! apparently no food was allowed to be taken in the rooms as well. . .

+ Excellent area, very near dam central - Room was very hot and unfortunately had to borrow the rceptionists fan as they didn't have any others and one memebr of staff said he would have one put in our room before we returned from our day out. i thought the room was very highly priced for what it was.
