+ Room was clean, beds were comfortable.some food had been left in the fridge, bread, butter, milk and eggs, these were very useful on our arrival. - Stairs were very steep, uneven and narrow. being informed that we should be careful not to leave any food on the surfaces or crumbs on the floor as there had been a problem with mice did not inspire confidence. however we were careful and did not see any evidence of mice in the studio flat while we were there. toilet cistern needed repairing and after one morning of trying to get it fixed it was decided to leave it until we had vacated the flat.

+ Great location perfect for exploring amsterdam. room slept four people so best for price in area. staff excellent and helpfull

+ The funky chickin is a great alternative to the conventional hotel room, its a more social and relaxed holiday for a group and is in an ideal location only 3 mins from dam square. the service and advice we got form lena on our arrival was second to none, so for value, service, cleanliness and location and funky chickin is hard to beat!

+ The hotel location is excellent! the road is peaceful yet so close to everything. the apartment has an airy feel and the self catering facilities are good. nice welcome from lina and we felt at home very quickly. would definitely go back there. - Maybe a little bit expensive...

+ This is a great place to stay...the location is set back just a little from all the hustle and bustle in dam but only a 5 min walk if you want to join in (as you do)! lina was pucker...even when we got slightly carried away one night. she let us leave our bags in her appartment on the monday before we went and even charged my mobile for me ***star*** what can i say...if you are thinking of staying in an appartment in dam, check the "funky chicken", - Stairs...but this is a problem throughout dam and not just here, so not really a negative, just a warning.

+ Great to stay in an'old amsterdam' house that is so centrally located. clean, quirky and comfortable. stairs are a challenge but this adds to the character. thai restaurant at bottom of apartment - fabulous
