Europa ’92 No electronic keys or locks, key must be turned in if you decide to explore the city. No food in room. No camera in hallways or peep holes in door. Small room typical of europe, no top sheet on bed, pack one. Traveler's tip on shopping There is a supermarket near the tram line. Hotel sits near corner. Access by TRAM 1

The Hotel Europa, located in the city center of Amsterdam provides comfortable rooms, good service, and a location convenient to points of interest. breakfast and meal plans are available in the hotel and four star restaurants lie within walking distance. Travel from this central point in the inner city is problem-free. Taxis are always available. We rely on the easy to decipher bus and train schedules make planning your day and visiting tourist sites a snap. The hotel staff are courteous and give directions and advice with helpful insight only a city resident can offer.

We were exceedingly disappointed with the Europa 92. The condition of the room was not hospitable as there was broken glass in the bed and on the floor and the smell was of rotten cabbage. We checked out immediately after finding alternate arrangements.

The hotel served it's purpose for a mid week break. Located in a nice area close to the museums and about a 20 minute walk to the centre of town. Were asked to pay when we arrived which was slightly odd - they also charged 4-5% of the bill to cover card payment. Fine overall.

Okay if you don’t have high expectations Good location near the trams and attractions but very limited room amenities compared to American hotels (i.e. no working tv, no top sheet on beds, no tissues, etc.). It was clean and if you have the right expectations (not high ones), it could be an acceptable place to stay.

To reach our room, we got on a tiny elevator with our cases and then climed 15 narrow steps. The room, for three adults was very small and the bathroom, the size of a cupboard! The shower drain was blocked with hair and greace. The breakfast was poor and the service incompetent.
