From the airport follow the signs to "Hotel Buses". The Dorint has a large bus circling between the hotel and the Airport every 30 minutes. The ride takes about 8 minutes. The train from the airport to central Amsterdam for day trips, cost's around EU$3.20 one way and takes about 20 minutes. Good business hotel with well equipped rooms. Mine had a view which encapsulated a bridge over a canal, a road (which goes very quiet at night), and a large commercial building. VERY comfortable bed, luxurious pillows and linen. Fully equipped bathroom, with shower and bath. The safe operates on the swipe of any credit card, but I couldn't get it to work properly, so didn't bother with it. A well stocked mini bar at the usual inflated prices. Beware that each product has a sensor beneath that automatically bills the removed product to your room account after 10 seconds. So taking stuff out to make space for that 6 pack of beer you bought elsewhere will need an explanation at check-out. Plenty of TV stations in most common languages of the world to entertain you. The Sports/Media Bar downstairs is a cool place to chill, even having live bands/DJ. Breakfast was about what you'd expect from this class of hotel, with a chef on hand to whip you up some eggs or whatever. Overall I found the hotel a comfortable, well positioned last day option before catching an early flight out from schiphol the next day. Priced at under 90 Euro when booked through Asiarooms, this was the best bargain in Holland.

Most amazing hotel I stayed at the Dorint hotel in Amsterdam for 4 nights and I almost didn't want to leave the room to explore the city! That's how comfortable I was. The bed was so soft and I slept like a baby. There are loads of extra little things that makes it even more special, like the heated bathroom floor and mirrors so it doesn't steam up! It's not right in the city centre though which I would have likes. The area feels quite commercial. The shuttle bus to the airport was good and easy access from there into Amsterdam's centraal station. I will definitely go back!

An excellent choice A beautful new hotel just 10 minutes from the airport by hotel shuttle bus. Luxurious rooms, good dining options, and an excellent health club facility with an indoor pool, exercise equipment, saunas, steam room, and even bikes to lend.

Great value The IAmsterdam card was a good choice for my son and me because we went to about a half dozen places that it included over the 72 hours we had the cards activated. The problem is that the card includes way more stuff than you can possibly get to so it doesn't make sense for the 24-hour or 48-hour card. I would also recommend the Canal Bus on/off tour though your IAmsterdam card will only get you a discount for one day.
