Everything about this hotel was excellent and I would certainly stay there again. However, the only complaint I do have it that we were under the impression the price included breakfast until we were asked to pay when we checked out.

The room was large and had a hair dryer - great for Europe. The workout facilities were a big plus for me! Staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to store our bags prior to check-in.

we are three friends and we have been in the hotel last august 2006. We chose the club formula for a triple room: free drinks in room and a roof club with free drinks and snacks. From the description this was a fantastic option! Spacious room, free drinks, continental breakfast, also "luxurious bathrobe, bathfoam etc. (not enough for three) and slippers"!! Unfortunately, the cost of the room, initially apparently very convenient, was really expensive, we discovered! Indeed, the room was old, the bathroom, old and with the towels full of holes, had a bath yellowish and stained, the continental breakfast was quite poor, with a coffee machine that made terrible ...coffee(???)just coloured water!, and the snacks, when you could find them, some cheese and salami, but after seven p.m...everything was finished and we saw many people coming up and go away because there was nothing else! and if you ask for the cleaning of the table, the disappoint of the waitress was clear. We were three and had a triple room, but the first day we found two bathropes, two towels, two slippers, two cups for the coffee; the second day, idem, and the third day, nothing at all: only towels, with holes and very old. It could have been accettable for a three star hotel, but not when the cost of the room is so expensive (more than 300 euros per night)! Two times in three day we had to ak for toilet paper and kleenex. On the contrary, the reception staff was very kind, helpful and they sell, at the same price, the tickets for the museums and excursions and give a lot of information when you ask for the way to go somewhere. The location is perfect if you have never been in Amsterdam, because it is a walking distance from the central station, dam square and the departure station of the canal boats, but, if you know amsterdam, there are many other places where to go.Finally, the room was a smoking one, even if had ask for a non smoking one, the windows could be opened only partly, the corridor was full of smoke and the air, also in the room, was unbreathable, maybe due to the humidity..we could have found better!
