Friendly staff who spoke excellent English, clean and well kept close to the Amstel Train and Bus station.....however, wasn't overly good value for money. For the price, free internet should've been a given.

This hotel can be difficult to find at first. Get off at Amstel Metro station, cross the street where the main tram stop is and go round the corner to your left. Go down the steps round the corner, through the underpass, turn right and continue along James Watt Street and you will eventually reach the hotel. The rooms are clean, breakfast facilities are excellent, the staff are friendly and helpful. It is open 24 hours. The hotel is surrounded by high rise office blocks and a motorway, so do not bank on getting a picturesque view from your hotel window. It is about 40 minutes to an hour by foot from the city centre so if you are out after the public transport is shut you will have a long walk back to the hotel. However, it is very easy to get to before the metro shuts down. It is a no smoking hotel, but the rooms don't have smoke alarms in them. There is a television in each room. I would recommend the hotel for it's friendly staff and the cleanliness of the rooms.

Casa 400 is a large, tourist hotel in Amsterdam, Holland. It's really not a bad place, just your basic hotel, a bed to sleep in and a bathroom to utilize. The hotel is within walking distance from Amstel station (just remember to use the tunnel, otherwise some Amsterdam cops might roll up on their Vespas and lecture you). A lot of tour groups seemed to stay here, as there were a lot of buses in the parking lot. Breakfast was included in our stay, and was good. Not a bad place for the price.

I liked this place because it was fairly close to the heart of the city and very affordable. The rooms were pretty small, as well as, the bathroom. However, that is pretty much standard for Europe. They look exactly like the pictures on the website. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Close to Amstel station.

Fair value for money The hotel ois situated near the metro so easy reach of the city. Breakfast was good, but rooms are tiny and bed were uncomfortable. Overall I would say fair value for the money paid.
