excellent value for cost I stayed here for a personal add-on to a business trip--my downtown hotel room, at 2.5 times the cost of the Campanile, was no larger or cleaner(although of course "plusher". The downside is the distance--it’s a solid 30 minutes on the metro at busy times--but the hotel is very close to the metro stop, quiet, on the edge of a large park, and the Amsterdam multi-use transit cards are a great value.

Ideal location for staying outside the centre. Train station & bus right outside the door . Hotel perfectly acceptable for the price. Only 1 tiny complaint - stupid little coffee cups in the room - bring a mug!

+ The staff was very helpful in aiding a couple of young travelers. - Sheets and towels were not always clean and we had to replace them several times
