+ -it is close to the center. -the staff do what they can to help. -if you are not picky and are used to camping then it's good for the price you pay. - -the hotel sits right next door to two rented windows that give it a "red light district" feel, uncomfortable for some. -the staff constantly smoke in the lounge, filling up the hotel rooms with the smell that takes days to get out of clothes. -the breakfast was only made up of items they had on hand. it included the traditional bread and butter, but there was only cheese and meat on our first day. the second day it was a little less. -our room was missing one of the lights and no one there could figure out how to change it, so we lived in the dark for two days. -they ran out of toilet paper on our second day also, and if we hadn't had tissue paper with us we would have had to wait until the next day. if you read dutch, it was "lastig" (inconvenient)

+ Cheap and in the centre of town. - Grotty and rubbish breakfast

+ Really friendly atmosphere, clean and brilliant location - A bit noisy

We stayed for two nights and found the hotel smelly and crusty. There where random people sleeping in the common rooms and the internet did not work. Our window opened up to a lovely view of some garbage below. The stairs where so tiny and steep, careful

+ Too close to all the areas in amsterdam! - The stairs are very dangerous.. ;)

+ Friendly staff. for the money this basic hotel is ok, is near central station and has free internet access 24 hours a day. we found the room basic, although it does state that on the website. it was ok for one night, no significant moans or groans - Steep steps up to our top room, although it is amsterdam and so many places there have steep steps. i wouldn't recommend it for eldery or disabled persons.

+ Great location room was small but i expected this and it was very clean shower was lovely and also very clean very relaxed atmosphere, free to smoke in your room, etc. overall, it was value for money and the quality of the hotel was above what i had expected for the price of the room! - The staff were not particularly friendly and did not really make an effort to put guests at ease but this would not stop me from staying there again!

+ Friendly staff and excellent location - Thought i had paid for room on my credit card so was shocked when had to pay cash
