The fully airconditioned, non smoking, Boutique Hotel Kasteelen is located in one of the nicest neighbourhoods of the city, right next to the Museumplein, also known as the museum quarter, the cultural center of Amsterdam. Leidseplein, the most famous square of Amsterdam, filled with its pubs cafes, restaurants, cinemas, casino, as well as the exclusive shopping center are within walking distance. The RAI Congress Center is easy to reach by foot or public transport. The hotel is completely airconditioned and newly renovated with modern facilities and an elevator. + Very quiet. - Like many other hotel guests, i booked this hotel based on the great reviews in tripadvisor; we all agree that the hotel was not suitable for business travellers and all in all, rather expensive for what it is. very small rooms. only 1 or 2 persons at the reception: so sometimes when this person is busy, he/she forget to get things done. internet is not working in the rooms (only in the lounge); during the stay, at times, the internet connection was not working at all. my phone was not working and the staff didnt take message. it took 2 days to get it fixed. this hotel is like a family pension.

+ Free wireless internet connection excellant breakfast in a lovely room that overlooks the hotel's small garden where it was possible to have ones coffee or tea. very comfortable friendly staff - Room is quite small, but adequate for one person

+ It was very helpful to find this hotel on teh website when others were full or very expensive. this was a good option; responses/comments by other guests were honest and helpful. - We thought it a bit strange that guests behind us were served more of a variety for breakfast than we were. more volume of coffee would be preferable.
