+ The hotel was well located near museums. the hotel staff were very helpful, in terms of recommending restaurants, arranging for transportation to the airport. - I was traveling with a business associate, and i reserved a room with two twin beds. after arriving, we discovered that the beds were attached and there were no rooms that could appropriately accommodate two business people who were traveling together. therefore,i had to book a second room for myself, so that doubled the price we expected to pay, a somewhat unwelcome surprise, especially as the dollar is doing so poorly against the euro.

Can't wait for smoking in public to stop. Location is wonderful. When Amsterdam commits to nonsmoking in public areas, they will see me back.

+ Helpful bar staff and porter - great location - Poor attitude of reception staff, very small rooms and bath. having to pay extra for internet access and to use the limited and so called spa facilities was irritating.

The guest rooms at this Hotel appear to be small but very clean and tidy. Most importantly is the location of this hotel, as it is in a good area of Amsterdam and a stones throw from the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum. Tram connections are in close proximity

+ The staff were very accommodating and helpful, lovely hotel and nice room. - Given the price of the room a little disappointed that the breakfast price was not included. 15 euros per person for breakfast a little expensive

Great hotel! We will definitely stay here again. The staff were very helpful and the room was clean and well appointed. They offered us an upgrade to a larger room when we checked in which we took for an extra 25 euro per night. I think it was well worth it. It is very close to many museums and is well served by public transport.

+ Very nice small hotel, in great location down a quiet street near the fashion and museum district. staff are really friendly and rooms are clean and tidy. worth paying for a room upgrade as rooms are much larger. would definitely go back!!

We changed rooms twice, the first time because there was too much noise from the elevators, and the second time because the room only had twin beds. Many or most of the rooms have twin beds, which is common in Amsterdam, but our 3rd room, which required an upgrade fee, at least had the twin beds semi-attached to each other. The CD player in this room didn't work right, but we weren't about to move again. The breakfast is reasonable, but you don't find out about the 17.50 euro per person charge until checkout (14 if you reserve the night before). The staff was friendly and responsive for the most part, and I would consider staying there again, but would ask for an 'upgraded' room from the start.

+ Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff, in a perfect 'just off the busy track' location for travelling around amsterdam. - Not really negative but if you book a standard room i would recommend upgrading to the larger rooms,as we all did in our party, for the extra space/ facilities and comfort.
