+ Superb satff, always polite and friendly. good sized room with attention to detail. - The safe did not work and nobody was able to fix it. we were not too bothered as we were able to deposit things in the hotel safe.

+ The hotel and staff where very professional and friendly. the hotel was just as it showed on the website, the room was great and we enjoyed our stay very much. coming from canada/america we are used to other amenities that are done on a customer service basis such as option of late check out....however, in europe things are different and they charge for absolutely everything so we had a late flight out and could only keep our room at a e10/hour charge. so they did store our bags for us instead. it was a little farther to the main attractions than we anticipated, however a must in amsterdam is to rent a bike....then it was fine. great experience.

A special place The Bilderberg was a great hotel, one of the best I have stayed in. I had an Executive Room that truly was a cut above. The view out the window as we sat and had coffee in the morning was nice. The staff was a great help from the second we got off the airport shuttle. We have great memories of Amsterdam, and the Bilderberg helped make them what they are. The location is near shopping, restuarants, and the tram. You can walk to Museum Square. Traveler's tip on nightlife There is a place called Boubon Street Cafe. They have good live music thatis geared for everyone from 21 - 60. You will not feel out of place. There is a Chinese restuarant near the hotel on Beetovenstraat. Good food and nice service after a long day on the street. Look for a Cafe called the Saloon just across the main road and canla from the Rjik Museum. Cozy with great pea soup. Definitley eat pea soup. Even with smoked eel!

+ Loved the location - nice to stay more on the outskirts of the centre and still very easy to reach all the main areas. beds very comrfortable and rooms clean if a little bland. enjoye dour stay and the location. - The choice of breakfast was god - if you had your running shoes on to catch a share of the bowl of crispy bacon when it arrived intermittantly. we gave up one morning. the kitchen staff/ chef could not replenish the meagre containers quickly enough and ran out every 5 minutes, so breakfast was not a relaxing meal. you were always loking to the food counter to see if any refils had arrived. in view of this, the price was high - we paid the 15euros pp per day inadvance instead of 21 euros pp per day. 15 euros was still far too much.

    - Unfortunately, we were charged for two breakfasts at 42.00 euros that we did not have. we checked out at 6:00 for a flight back to canada. i did not see the error until we had left for the airport. i am waiting for a response to my request for credit of the amount to my visa.

+ The hotel is in a good residential area of amsterdam. to travel to dam square on the tram was 3.20 euros for 2 adults - quite cheap. to travel to the hotel by the airport shuttle service was 19.00 euro return - very good value. the hotel was excellent value for money. the dining room excellent but one must reaalise that dining is taken seriously - leave about two and a half hours for dinner. one can easily walk to dam square as there are no hills!! one has to get used to the bikers in amsterdam. there are excellent museums and art galleries to be seen in the area and in amsterdam. the anne frank museum was well worth the visit. going back to the hotel - it was excellent, the staff were great, there was no language problem. we value an excellent hotel and we were not disappointed. breakfast was good with plenty of choice. service throughout was excellent. we had special rates for our rooms and breakfast which helped to make the experience even better. we upgraded on arrival to an executive room and this was great. - None at all.

I had a very pleasant stay in this hotel and got a great offer on Hotel Connect’s website. If you search on Google the hotel does have an official site but its rates are higher. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a pleasant stay in Amsterdam if you are not looking for a wild time. The only thing I will say is that they were lacking leaflets and offers on tourist attractions which disappointed me as all they offered was free access to the Holland Casino. Other than that it was a problem free four days and if ever returning to Amsterdam I would certainly come back.
