Best Western Lancaster Hotel Amsterdam

Perfect place for the average traveller The room was very small but what do you expect in Europe? The bed was the most comfortable I have ever had at any hotel...ever! The location was great, next to the zoo and a short walk to the city center. The room was equppied with an LCD flat screen TV, a small desk, and a tiny bathroom. I travelled alone and this room was perfect in every way. But if you are "high maintenance" and need space and lots of amenities, this isnt for you. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel except for maybe the 15 euros for the mediocre breakfast. I will definitely be staying here again though.

+ We were really impressed with the hotel. the location was perfect, right beside the no. 9 tram which goes 2 d centre. rooms were gorgeous and the beds were very comfy. the staff were friendly and helpful. overall everything was top notch.

the hotel is a beautifull building near the center of the city.the rooms are clean and large.the breakfast is good but the breakfast room was downstairs and has no sunlight.

+ Well sited for sightseeing, everything no more than a stroll or a 5 minute tram ride away : staff excellent, informative and very accommodating: clean. - Rooms and bathing facilities small, internet access expensive

+ The hotel was perfectly located, not to close to the centre but close enough to walk to. the hotel's main communual area's were well presented. - The room we stayed in was far to small for 2 people, so much so that we had no where to put our suitcases. the coffee & tea supplies were not replenished once in the 6 days we were there. no bar area to have a drink prior to going out or when coming back.

+ The hotel is right next to a tram stop that takes you into central station so the location was perfect. the rooms were a bit small but they were clean and comfortable. the staff were very friendly.

+ Nice hotel. the comfort package was a good deal, since it's only 15 euro above the cost of internet access (20 euro, 35 euro total). - Charging for internet access, while understandable, is still weak sauce.

- The single staff member on the front desk often was overworked and inefficient, concentrating too much on some customers, to the detriment to the rest waiting.

+ Room was reasonably sized and clean. location is very good. - Walls of the rooms were paper thin, hence a lot of noise.
