very poor service and hospitality by the personnel here. bedsheets , towels were not changed, just dusted on the top. location was perfect but you need to give details of available facilities ( LIFT is not available and lot of difference in the type of rooms) beds are very narrow. location is just perfect, only saving grace in our stay here.

Good location, Irish bar underneath St James Gate worth a visit I think they should mention that they don't have a lift as the stairs are very steep and it is quiet difficult to carry a bag up 2 flights of stairs Overall we had a great time in Amsterdam

+ Centrally located, constant hot water, helpful, polite staff, comfortable mattrass, clean. - Front room so very noisy in square below until after 4 a.m., shower wouldn't sit in hook above, hairdryer cut out after short time, not a lot of coathangers, wardrobe catch missing and replaced with a bent nail, - expected better for a de-luxe room.

Minor issues - Stairs were steep and narrow at some points, sink very small, but overall a very pleasant stay

Incredible for College Kids and the Young at Heart! This hotel was in a great location for my boyfriend and I. It was a short distance to lots of bars, coffeeshops, and other types of night life. It was also close to sight seeing attractions. The hotel probably wouldn’t have been perfect for my parents but it worked great for us!!!

Not good for old people The roms were clean and nice. They were very helpful at the front desk. Breakfast was very nice and the location of it. The only thing was that you had to ask for the towels, but they had them there for you. I like the area that it was in also. Going up the staitsd

We had two rooms on the 3rd level facing the courtyard. The view was beautiful. There is no lift so be prepared for three flights of very steep and narrow stairs. We thought it was worth it. This is not a modern hotel but if you want character and charm this is perfect.

Decent choice... Overall was satisfied with this hotel. Staff were friendly, room was plenty accommodating. Few comments - no elevators here and those stairs are STEEP. Not fun with your luggage. Also, the hotel is right in the middle of the busy Rembrantplein area, so expect noise well into the overnight hours. It’s not unbearable at all, but if you’re not used to sleeping with some noise in the background you may not want to stay here.
