Built in 1900, the Eden Amsterdam American Hotel is a listed art nouveau monument, and some architectural features can be traced back in the famous Café Américain and guest rooms. The Eden Amsterdam American Hotel is the best located hotel in Amsterdam: in the middle of the Leidseplein. The hotel has adopted a modern lifestyle philosophy to offer you a truly unique stay. You are invited to enjoy your stay with all your senses. The hotel has a fitness and sauna that are free accessible for hotel guests. Opening hours are between 06:30 and 23:00 hours. The hotel has six floors with a total of 175 guest rooms, of which 15 are American Junior Suites and 36 are Deluxe rooms, most of which have canal or Leidseplein views or a balcony. The entire hotel is non-smoking floors. The hotel and the guestrooms are well air-conditioned.Check-in time is at 3 pm and the only way to guarantee an early arrival is to reserve the room for the night before. Check-out time is at 12 noon and if you would like to keep the room longer than 12 noon there will be an automatic charge of EUR 25.00 per room per hour, excluding 5% city tax, until 4 pm. After 4 pm the hotel's daily room rate will apply. Please note: - If an advanced departure takes place (a so-called early check-out) the first following night will be charged extra, with the exception of congress and event periods, wherein the whole stay will be charged.- Reservations for more than 9 rooms are considered a group reservation. For group reservations there are different rates and cancellation policy.- While some drugs are legalized in The Netherlands, drugs are not permitted anywhere on the hotel’s premises. By violating this rule togehter with the non smoking policy the hotel will charge an extra € 150.00 to your account.

Some restaurants of the hotel chain were not efficient, slow or with no service. Mostly the service was great.

Very Impressive Hotel was very clean. The staff was very helpful and the location was to die for. Traveler's tip on local attractions Very nice location. Tram stops at the front door.
