My stay at the Albus Grand Hotel was very enjoyable, the service was excellent and the people were friendly. Walking distance to any major attraction in Amsterdam yet in a safe location. The room was quite large with a new bathroom and new furniture....

Value for money, close to central. It is a nice hotel for weekends leisure trips with friends. Neat and clean, and close to city centre. Restaurants and trams are within few minutes of walking.

Decent hotel, but a little bit further out than some, and the street outside can get busy.

large room, clean, great location I did a lot of research on price, customer reviews and location before picking this hotel. I would definitely stay here again and I think it was a great value - clean, large (especially by European standards) and located close to everything fun. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks Beware of currency exchange booths and their excessive commissions! Inquire about all fees before handing over your cash.

+ The hotel is greatly situated. we were a group of 10 persons who shared 2xtriple and 1 room for four persons. the rooms are spacious and we were very comfortable despite the number of persons sharing rooms.

We discovered that breakfast was not included, and would cost 12€ per person. had I known this (it wasn't mentioned on the confirmation form) I would have chosen another hotel. For four people, it made a big difference. I showed them my print outs, they agreed that it was misleading - but too bad for us! Definitely- don't go! Also in full summer, impossible to buy a bottle of mineral water at the hotel.

Have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at the Albus Grand Hotel. The hotel staff are friendly and the reception staff were very helpful. The breakfast is of good quality and plenty of variety, from yoghurts to crispy bacon! The location of the hotel is good. You can walk to the City centre in 10 minutes. The only negative comments we have are the lift was broken for most of our stay and we were on the 8th floor which meant we had 16 flights of stairs to climb! Not great when you have been walking around Amsterdam all day! We also asked for a non smoking room our room was clearly a smoking room as there was a strong smell of stale smoke and had burn holes on the carpets and chairs! All in all a good hotel that we would recommend. Book early as it's cheaper!

+ Clean, tidy. quiet room lovely size quad room - - problems at check in with credit card machine - not being able to pay when booking. poubd went weak against euro and we ended up paying more for our trip - tea and coffee were not replenished in room. asked at reception and told we were not entitled as we had got a free upgrade (that we were not told about and did not ask for)
