From Hotel Ajax D.R. Amsterdam it is only a short walk (7 minutes) to the central station. The hotel is in the centre of all the tourist attractions including the Van Gogh Museum, the Anne Frank House and a wealth of pubs and discos. This family-run hotel, overlooking the Amstel river is beautifully located in the city centre, just in between the two most visited squares of Amsterdam: Rembrandt Square and Dam Square. Hotel Ajax is also a good hotel for business people as you can move very easy and fast through Amsterdam especially for people going to the RAI exhibition, tram number 4 stops in front of the hotel.All rooms have a private shower, toilet, television and radio. The view from the front of the hotel is one of the most beautiful in the city where you will see Rembrandt Square, l'Europe Hotel and the Amstel. Please note that you must book for a minimum of 3 nights at the weekend. Failure to do so can result in your booking being cancelled. For reservations during the New Year, Easter and the IBC-conference, the hotel will charge you for 1 night prior to arrival.

The hotel is in the middle of the city centre, on a big road, but still very quiet. In front of the hotel you can take a tram to anywhere in the city. The room I stayed in (double room) was nice and clean and the staff of the hotel was very friendly. It was worth every penny I paid. nothing

+ You can check in at any time, friendly staff and a great location - The breakfast was not nice at all, what they had on offer was bread,cheese, butter, tea & coffee or diluted orange juice. dvd player did not work,E

A typial 2 star hotel. Best thing: Location... It is really in city center, and not far from central train station.

+ The hotel was basic but clean and reasonably prices. - My iphone was taken out of my bag during the day while i was out. the staff were helpful but unable to do anything about it. the bed had been turned down while i was out so it was possibly the cleaning staff that took it. i lodged a police report detailing the incident.

+ It was a central location, easy to reach of dam square and where we wanted to go - The rooms were shabby, falling to bits, the bathroom looked especially, looked nothing like on the website, very very over priced! disappointment

I just returned from Amsterdam and had the time of my life. The Ajax Hotel was located near all the attractions I wanted to visit in Amsterdam and the rooms were as I expected, clean and comfortable.
