Airone Hotel Venice

just two doors down from registration and a long stairway up to one's room. Great location on the grand canal

+I liked to be served breakfast next to the room and very promptly. The view from the window was great, very peaceful and green. -The sink of the bathroom was too small and the water for shower early morning was burning. More temperature regulation is desirable in the shower.

Excellent location close to St. Marks Square. Decor was lovely - typically ornate Italian. None of usual hotel facilities available although tiny kitchen facilities - more typical of a European 'pensione'. We were given a voucher for a 'European' continental breakfast at cafe next door each day.

On arrival at Hotel Airone we were told that due to water problems our room was unavailable and that we had been booked into a nearby hotel for no extra charge. So, we never got to see a room at Hotel Airone, but they staff were very helpful, and the hotel they booked us into was great!

We enjoyed our stay here. Great location on the Grand Canal with easy access to Pl. Roma and the train station. We had a quiet back room and it was clean, with a nice bathroom.

Location was very good - only few minutes to go to parkinghouse or railway station. We had excellent (but a bit noisy) Grande Canale-view from our window. Only disturbing circumstance - in the breakfast-room was unusually high temperature and there wasn't enough frech air.

+very near train station, no problem indeed for separate check-in hotel counter, and this can happen even in some 3-star or above hotels...

Its a good place to stay in. Perfect location..right infront of the Ve S.Lucia station. Not spent much time inside except sleeping hours ;-). Bot all in all rooms look clean, stalf are helpful and security is good. Not paid any attention to the fun provided inside so cannot comment on that. Only problem was the check in time of 13:00 hours mentioned by them. But thankfully I could check-in at my planned time of 12:00 hours. All in all, its worth the money I spent.

Upon check-in we were told one of our rooms had an A/C problem, so we had to hike to another hotel (which they had arranged). After our cruise we checked back in to Airone Hotel again. The rooms and facilities seemed substandard. One of the room A/C's performed very poorly and the room stayed hot.

-No hot water and took 2 days to get it fixed. Got a hot shower the day we checked out. Check in for the Hotel Airone is actually with a different hotel next door. Nothing on the website said to go to the Hotel Canal to check in as well as to do anything else like request taxis and get information.
