Plenty of hidden costs using the underground metro is a life saver...we went to the vactican and it cost us 1 euro each, each way bargain in exchange for a rather long walk!!

+Staff were very helpful and very friendly, we would not have managed to visit anywhere near as much as we did without their help. Room was very nice and very clean. -Was not too keen on breakfast, most of the food was very sweet, perhaps a selection of nice fruit or some toast would have been good. Great selection of hot drinks and juices though :o)

nice place for a short stay Hotel is located at a very convenient location - we could walk up to the station and the bus terminus. Very convenient. Also 15 mins walking to the Colloseum as well ... The breakfast could be a little better and the lift is scary with all its creaking when it works, The first day it didnt work and we had to lug our suitcases up by 4 floors ! But in general a nice, clean place for a short trip especially when you;re not planning to stay in the room for the most part. Lot of nice eating places near by as well .

+Locaton. All the sights of interest were very close by -The air conditioning in my room either did not work or was utterly inadequate.

+Near the train station - central location. Hopped on the Metro to go to the Vatican, Coloseum, Spanish Steps, etc. Very convenient -No sign or flag to distinguish hotel name - hard to find while driving. Had to park & walk around to find hotel.

No Air Conditioning or Internet Access I had read several reviews before choosing this hotel for my Rome trip. All I wanted was a clean hotel with air conditioning and Internet access. The hotel is in a good location for taking the train and getting around Rome. The staff was also very friendly. The first day we were told that the air conditioning was turned off at the hotel until later in the summer. They did turn it on the second day after the outside temp got past 85F. Even though we had individual air units in the room the room never got cool the 4 days we were in the hotel. It was more like having a fan turned on. The second issue is that they indicated they had Internet access but when we arrived they said it had been down for months and they did not know when they would have it working again. It didn’t help that we were on the street side of the hotel so even on the 4th floor there was too much noise to leave the window open. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless all they cared about was being close to the train station. And even then there are many hotels in this area to choose from.

+The lobby. -We didn't know that Welcome Residences means many locations, so, it was disappointing when we've been told, a day before the arrival, that we'll stay at another hotel. When you book rooms in a certain hotel, you expect to stay in the hotel you picked. We spent the first night at Hotel Cambridge and moved to Welcome the next day, for our last two nights. If Welcome Residences actually means Hotel Welcome plus other residences, people should know it.
