This was a great place with plenty of room space for Rome. It is a 15 min train ride from the center of Rome but worth it to get out of the busy center and have a nice motel to come back to. Has internet but was slow. Great price for Rome - probably one of the cheapest we paid in 4 weeks in Europe. To find it- it is just a doorway down a driveway with a little sign on the wall facing the street, but inside it is quite good. Plenty of food places close and a grocery store 300meters away.

+ The Strand hotel was a great stay for us. The Hotel was just outside of the city but close by subway, just remember that the subway in Roma stops at 9pm and then you have to take the bus. The rooms are great and clean and you will not have to spend a lo

Would not let my dog stay there! The hotel clerk was very rude! I didn’t feel safe in this part of town. There was a strong odor of mold in the room.

Useless Management, not reccommended for families I stayed with my parents, wife and babies for 3 nights in 2 rooms. The elevator was broken, which is not nice if you are staying in the 3rd floor with luggage. In one room the shower holder was broken so it only worked as a hose shower, this was reported immediately after entering the room, the manager promised to repair but never happened; in the other room the shower did not have a cabinet nor curtain, so after a shower all the bathroom was swamped which more than unpleasant is very unsafe, the explanation from the manager (seemed the owner) was that it was hard to get the cabinet because of the size and configuration of the shower, so, we asked for room change and the answer was that although some rooms were checking out everything was booked and no twin room was available, this is a nice poor answer. The roof inside the rooms is very low, a 1.7m person cannot walk freely without bumping his head against the roof beams. The hotel seems to be nicely remodelled but without attention to important details as the mentioned open shower or doors partially opening due to lamps blocking them. Good things, the hotel is fairly close to a Metro station

+ Clean towels every day, airconditioning - The water in the pool was green, the bar was not available for use, the elevator didn't work yet, breakfast was not available either and there was an unpleasant smell in the room all the time

Nothing is impressive except for the location we got a very congested room with no shower screen - after shower, the entire bathroom & bedroom floor used to be wet... pathetic experience. Also there was some water flow noise through out the night - we were sleepless Don't recommend - unless you're on tight budget, getting this at a throw away price, since location of the hotel is only +ve point.

+ Close to 2 Metro stations, close to CineGela gelateria, placs to buy food were nearby. And it was also quieter than I expected, considering via Tuscolana is a busy street. - Nothing major- there is still a feel of the outside area being under constructi
