+ Very centrally located hotel. - On arrival all staff present didn't speak english (which in italy maybe you shouldn't expect) however when they take your passports off you and you can't understand why, it was a little disconcerting. the rooms are very worn although the linen was clean. hotel could do with a general overhaul. breakfast was offered on our final morning (had to be at airport at 7) but we didn't get any due to the language difficulties. one staff member was superb and offered us breakfast only for it not to be done. probably wouldn't stay here again. i have stayed in nicer backpackers than this hotel but if you want a central location and don't mind a bit of wear and tear, it's okay.

+ The hotel occupies one floor of an elegant building of a quiet street in the center of rome. for the price (60 eur for a double in february) the hotel has excellent value. there were no frills, but no problems either; i would sincerely recommend this hotel.

+ It is in the centre of the city and the beds were clean - The breakfast was meagre and although we booked a room ensuite we got one which had a shared toilet. the handles fell off the door of the room and off the wardrobe. the furniture in the room was decrepid

+ As our bank cards were not working on the last night the manager gave us money to pay for our transfer to the airport. excellent gesture - The hotel is very basic but as long as you are aware of that then its not a problem to stay at. perfect hotel if you are in rome to visit the tourist sites and just need a hotel to sleep in, but dont forget earplugs as the noise in the corridors from other guests seems to multiply to be quite loud

+ It was cheap and close to everything, attentive staff. - It was smelly, uncomfortable, not easy to find, not the cleanest, and all the furniture was broken or falling apart. i'd recomend to single traveling males only.
