Large bedrooms, good location. Nice hotel. Must improve breakfast. Restaurant is too much expensive.

Fantastic location for sight-seeing and local amenities Having never been to Rome before, we were looking for a central location and some relative comfort to return to after pounding the streets sight-seeing. Well, the Starhotel Metropole certainly fitted the bill superbly. Clean, comfortable, large rooms and helpful friendly staff - English spoken too! Good breakfast buffet and very relaxing. Would thoroughly recommend.

Excellent hotel/Tourism base Very comfortable and clean. Perfect location for accessing all the main tourist attractions. Good breakfast. Excellent restaurant and bar but seems to be little used by guests.

Would definitely use again The hotel was of a very good standard for the rate paid. The location was excellent within short walking distance of the termini train station metro and hop on off tourist bus stop. The staff were efficient and helpful. The room itself was larger than expected and well decorated and nice and clean. We only stayed for one evening but would certainly stay at this hotel again. The only down side would be that the immediate area of the hotel is not particularly attractive.

this hotel is really nice. room sizes are spacious, bathrooms have a decent amount of space, plenty of storage for clothes. there are computers in the lobby you can use to check email. you have to sign up with a credit card but the prices are very reasonable. there are also phone booths in the lobby that are private. the location is good, you do have to walk a decent amount to some things but in general you walk a lot in Rome anyhow so it wasn't bothersome to us to get out and walk around.

Weekend Break in Rome Be careful where you choose to dine since some restaurants are very expensive despite the surroundings being very basic.

I would stay there again or recommend it. Very nice people that spoke English at the desk and provided service, maps, direction which was very helpful!

Good quality hotel Italian restaurants that my wife and I tried were very expensive. We found an excellent Chinese restaurant (Zhong Yi) run by friendly people that cost less than 25% of the Italian restaurants. This had a nice outdoor eating area in an attractive square (Piazza dell'Oratorio)in the Trevi Fountain area. A drink of beer cost less than 25% of prices in Italian run places -and we tried a few!

A short walk from the train station Modern, comfortable hotel. Our room (a double) was large compared to other European hotels I’ve stayed in, though small by US standards. Breakfast was very good. Our only problem was figuring out the state-of-the-art key system.

Good hotel Lots of restaurants nearby but must try La Matriciana which is opposite the Opera House. Be cautious with the others esp the one facing Geneva Hotel, they are not very honest. Beware of groups of young girls hanging around (teens and early twenties). They may try to pull you aside to rob you in broad daylight. The hop on, hop off bus tour is useful esp if you want to get to many of the attractions in 1 day.
