Just fine Adequate hotel room. I was a bit surprised that they had the mini-fridge, slightly stocked. The prices were as expected but not shockingly high.

They had given us a room on the third floor, which is a problem because my girlfriend is disabled. With some negotiating, they moved it to a ground floor room that was a triple room for no rise in cost. I give them credit for that.

Great time in Rome My wife and I had a great time in Hotel Select. Armando and Nicola were very friendly and, they provided great recomendations for us to get the most out of our stay. We also liked the location and the breakfast service. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks We recomend the Roma pass. It was a great deal.

This is the judgement of our stay 13-18 july.We also had a reservation for 4-6 july at hotel select but we were moved to a hotel of lot poorer quality of which we are very disappointed. However, the personal of the hotel select were absolut wonderful.

Straightforward value Although I found "my" room was ground floor front, it was above street level, not noisy and with a choice of very comfortable beds. The bathroom and towels etc. were fine. Breakfast was in a very pleasant environment and more than adequate; although not the best buffet, certainly not the worst. Poor room lighting is my criticism of many hotel rooms, including here, hence being unable to give maximum marks.

What a great little hotel. It was within walking distance to most places most importantly the central station. The hotel had a great ambience. I stayed by myself in one of the little garne courtyard rooms. Fantastic.

A lovely escape convenient to many of Rome’s sights I loved this hotel! It was close to Roma Termini train station, but not so close that you could hear any noise. My room had a terrific view of the lemon tree in the breezy, lush courtyard. The ambiance was wistful and romantic. I felt very privileged to have stayed there. Yes, the room and the bathroom was small, but you will find that a smaller size room is the standard when staying in European hotels. You will not spend very much time in your room anyway...you will be too busy seeing the sights. I travelled on my own, and I felt very safe there. Everyone was genuinely nice, and were impressed by my attempts to speak Italian. The concierge was "fantastico," and very helpful. There were several good restaurants nearby and a great Supermarcati across the street where I bought fresh bread, meats, cheeses, and water. Florian’s Cafe and Restaurant had excellent, fresh food and drink for a good price. The cookies and tarts were divine and the bartender makes a delightful cold cappuccino. I will definitely return to stay at this gem of a hotel the next time I visit Rome. Tutto manifico! Bravo! Traveler's tip on local attractions Don’t waste your time on taxis & buses. Book passage on one of the tour buses, & they will take you to all of the famous tourists sights in the city -- the Colesum, Circus Maximus, the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, etc...My favorites were the Rome Open tour (the double decker green bus) & the Hop on Hop off tour (the red bus). Buy a 48 hour pass on the Rome Open tour bus, & enjoy the city at your leisure. The main meeting sight is across the street from Roma Termini train station.

excellent hotel as this was the about the cheapest cental hotel i could find i was slightly aprehensive about how it would actually turn out. the hotel is a four minute walk from the termini with several nice resteraunts nearby along with a supermarket and tobaconist withion 50m. the hotel for the money was outstanding, largeish room with wood floors, massive bed, aircon tv etc and a good sized ensuite as well. the staff were helpful and the breacfast buffet although not fantastic was filling for for a days walking around. i reccomend getting a roma pass for 20 euros, it covers you for all public transport and free or discounted entrace to attractions and museums for 3 days. but not the vatican. if i return to rome i will be returning to this hotel!!
