Building has over 8 hotels, this is more like mom and pop, would not recommend for more than one day stay

Hotel advertises satellite tv and internet. Neither was available during our stay. I could live w/out the TV but internet was one of the most factors in our decision to stay there.

As a group, we booked two separate rooms to accommodate seven. One room exceeded our expectations, one fell short of what we expected. However, the service was friendly and very efficient. I would stay again but discover more about the type of room being booked.

The Hotel Scott House is an excellent place to stay for those who are looking for reasonably priced accomodations that are easily accessible to the rest of the city. The bus from the Ciampino Airport to the city drops you off just a few blocks away from the hotel. (Very convenient!) The hotel is located just a couple of blocks from the main train station which is also a large shopping plaza. The metro is also located at the station which you can take to any of the popular tourist destinations! If a destination cannot be reached by train the city bus terminal is right outside the plaza. (Excellent location if you will be using public transport!) The shopping plaza is a great place to stock up on snacks and other food during your stay. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom was very clean. There was also a complimentary continental breakfast of juice, croissant, fruit etc. Although in a busy section of town the rooms are pretty quiet. This is not the prettiest part of Rome but staying here made the rest of Rome easily accessible.

A very good place to start your sightseeing tour. I was there for three days and all I needed was a comfortable place to sleep for a lower price. Next year I would like to come back to this hotel.

Definitely overpriced, one could get a room like this (very spartan) for half the price in the US. You need to ask the front desk to turn on the air conditioning in your room, no control! In-suite bathroom is extremely small. Great location near the train station though!
