+ Rome was our first stop on our trip to italy, it was the perfect way to start a perfect trip. la roma dei papi exceeded our expections. the staff was extremely helpful and always happy and willing to take time for us. i really enjoyed the breakfast and the sweet girl that made our expresso. i would highly recommend anyone to stay there for a small, quiet in the heart of all pleasant stay in rome.!!

+ We were in rome to celebrate our 5th anniversary and wanted somewhere to base a couple of days sightseeing from. very happy with hotel and location. quiet, with very nice, helpful staff. only a few rooms, and it was a little tricky to find as there is no sign outside. the hotel is particularly well situated for walks along the river and visits to the vatican. it is a bit of a walk to the older parts of town, but we never felt the need for taxis or buses. my final comment would be, the hotel is a good location for a base in rome, but i would question the "hotel de charme" statement, it's more practical than charming.
