hotel rimini- excellent value and location Small 400 year old hotel. Clean, inexpensive, located next to main train station and metro stops. 1/2 block plus up to 1 block inside the train station depending upon wher you want to go. Train and Metro are easy to use after the ist attempt. Staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly but not pushy. Breakfast was good with a wide choice available. Walking distance to many sites. Elevator was small and creaky but great after a long day of sight seeing. Aircondioning at no extra charge. Not 5 star, but a great place to stay and sightsee from.

Good enough Nothing special about this hotel but u could do worse. For the price, the location was pretty handy (close to main train station and bus tours). Good breakfast. Just beware of the grumpy men at the front desk (make sure you take a booking confirmation)and you'll be ok.

Very good value for money On NO ACCOUNT use the money exchange bureau at the station. We exchanged 350 American Express traveller's cheques in Euros and they took 53 Euros, which is a lot of money to pay for nothing. They then laughed at us when we wanted to void the transaction and the police refused to help, in the end.

Great Base for Rome and Italy Hotel Rimini is an excellent place to base your stay in Rome. It’s two minutes to the EuroStar train, giving you access to the other cities of Italy. The hotel desk staff were fluent in English and helpful with restaurant. There is a grocery store in the Termini train station, lower level, to purchase snacks and even dinner. Much cheaper than eating at the restaurants if you’re on a budget. Subway and buses close by bring Rome to your door with ease. The hotel bathroom is small. If you’re of large size, stay somewhere else. We stayed on 4th floor, soundproof windows. Elevator also is small. Two people, roll bags only. Otherwise it’s one person and large suitcases. Breakfast was substantial, although no pancakes. No internet access, although for a euro per 30 minutes you can access an internet cafe just 25 feet from the front door. All in all, a good value based on what I heard from others staying in hotels around Rome. If you’re cutting back on dining out, the supermarket in the train station is a bonus. Great roast chicken, pizza, roasted potatoes, fresh baked bread, wine, etc. Very affordable, almost like the US.
