Seems like a good deal We stayed there in July '08 for over a week in a self contained apartment consisting of two rooms, a bathroom and a kitchen area large enough to prepare breakfasts and lunches. The main attraction of this place is its location close to Vatican and easy access by public transportation to other parts of Rome. The hotel is in good condition and clean. North Americans may not be happy with minimal service at the reception desk but it is sufficient for anybody not expecting full hotel service. After all it is Italy and plastic politeness is not a given. Overall, I have no complains as it was a very good deal for a price we paid and our stay there was a very pleasant one. Would recommend it to anyone who is independent, can find her way around and do not expect to be pamperred.

WALKING DISTANCE TO VATICAN GREAT HOTEL. VERY SECURE. IF ONLY THEY HAD 1 ENGLISH TV CHANNEL FOR THE EVENINGS WE WOULD HAVE BEEN IN HEAVEN. VERY FRIENDLY, HELPFUL STAFF. ALWAYS ACCOMODATING. VERY CLOSE TO THE VATICAN AND ST PETERS. ONLY BE READY FOR A VERY STEEP 75 STAIRWAY BETWEEN THE HOTEL AND VATICAN.

A quality hotel, but not ideal for everyone - By a CIS metro card for 16 euros, lasts a week and great value for money even if you only use it a few times. - Suggest catching a taxi from the airport to the hotel, cost 40 euros only slighty more expensive than catching the express train with futher traveling - Get a good guide book - Buy 1 water bottle each and keep it, the drinking water fountains are an excellent touch and will save ALOT!! Good Luck!!

Beautiful Apartment-Style Room The staff at the hotel was great and the hotel itself was good too. The location was awesome, my main reason for staying there was going to the Vatican. It was very close to the hotel less than 10 minutes walking distance. There was only one problem and that was the stairs that you had to climb up at the end of a very long day. But seeing the hotel in sight made you forget about all those steps. It was a smaller hotel so the staff was very nice, they even had a laundry room which was pretty cool especially if you are a recent college grad on a budget. There are also a few restaurants and shops on the way to the VAtican that are relatively inexpensive. There was a small store where I stocked up on soda, water and snacks at a very cheap price. I was able to put it all in my fridge that was in my room. The only bad thing about the hotel was the paper thin walls, you could hear EVERYTHING going on in the next room. But other than that it was very clean and well kept...So yeah I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Away from the madness. Perfect for our needs. Clean. Very quiet residential neighborhood. Just up the hill from decent dining and great Gelato. A bit of a hike to the Metro but there are bus stops close by if you want to try and figure those out. We usually walked it in 15min. Very nice rooftop terrace for winding down. Only heard the neighbors one night and it was pretty loud so I’m guessing the walls are thin. Most people there are respectful though. Friendly, helpful staff. The desk is not always manned so if you’re catching an early cab you may be on your own with the automated taxi service. I marked the comfort down a bit because I got the twin bed in the room without the A/C unit. Even with the door open between rooms I got pretty hot while they got cold in the other room. And they were able to use up all the hot water one morning. The hot water by the way, gets hot enough to cook your skin off. Be careful.

Good Bet A good choice--quiet street, near the Vatican, an easy bus ride to the center (46, 64 buses)and others to Piazza Argentina or Piazza Venezia. Make sure to ask for clear directions about arriving. Convenient kitchenette--nice view of St. Peter's from bus stop.

Not impressed. Didn’t feel all that comfortable or welcoming. Maybe some area rugs or carpet - seemed a bit stark and cold. Service was great when someone was there, but after 8PM each night, not a soul to be found.
