It is a very modern and comfortable hotel, quiet, near to the colosseum. I knew it before, wanted to come back and I really appreciated the price of your website.

Too Hot The hotel room was extremely hot so we opened the window (which had no screen). Thus, we were bitten alive by misquitos. When we asked about the AC, we were told a law was passed in Italy that hotels can’t have them anymore. The room was small, the shower was extremely small. Don’t ask the desk for recommendations, they send you to bad restaurants (we went to 2) and get a taxi for the airport, don’t take their car-it won’t work out. Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay Book a tour if you want the history of the city as there are not lots of info placques. Also, if you plan to take the bus/metro, get a good map with routes on it as the buses usually stop at streets next to (not at) the attractions.

Modern hotel in Rome We stayed for three nights at the end of December. Overall, the design of the room is clean and modern. The size of the bathroom is spacious for a European hotel, and it comes with heated floor. However, the shower is too small and the drain is slow. Also, the bide and the toilet are too close to each other, could use more leg room. The breakfast is worth getting up early for, lots of food. They could put in one more coffee machine to avoid people waiting in line.

Hidden jewel in Rome Although we had difficulties finding the hotel, it was worth the money. Locals don’t seem to know about it and even when the address was given, we had difficulties getting directions. Building is only about a year old and rooms are bright, specious and clean. Service was good. Breakfast was included in the price and variety of food was great. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks Description about this hotel being 400 meters to Colosseum is inaccurate. More likely, it’s about 1 km. Other than Taxi, best way to get there is by Metro, nearest station is Manzoni (Line A), the hotel is a block away.

Italian hotel renovated around 2 years ago so things already breaking Located on a street quite near the Coliseum (20 minute walk) and close to Metro (such as it is), so quite convenient - unfortunately, the street was always covered in rubbish, so you had to step very carefully to get to the hotel! Rooms done in ’modern’ style, with usual Italian inspiration (’looks great, does not work’)e.g. drawers in room, so best if you only travel with clothes you can hang up..... Shower did not drain properly, which meant we had to shower quickly! Housekeeping give you one minute bar of soap - no more offered in a week - quite amused to think they may expect you to bring your own. Staff friendly, but lobby bar not manned in the daytime, and in the evening the barman doubles as restaurant waiter - not sure what is the point of having a bar and no barman.....On Sunday you will be hassled to get out of the room so the staff can go home by 2pm - apparently at week-ends the hotel is there for the convenience of staff not guests. Full of British package tourists, so breakfast (good selection, apart from the very suspicious sausages!) was always a mob event. Front desk staff efficient enough and try to be friendly. Overall no major gripes, but for the money you might expect better.

We Won't Be Back Although the hotel has been remodeled and is very modern, they still have a lot of kinks to work out. The phone in our room was not working properly and they didn't not have any other phone available to us in the lobby, only the front desk phone. When we told them about this problem they sent someone up to verify there was a problem but it was not corrected during our stay. The shower overflowed with water, while we were bathing and we had to shut the water off so as not to flood the whole room. The mattress was thin and as hard as a rock. If I had it to do over, I would choose an older hotel a little closer to the center of town. Don't be fooled although this hotel looks very appealing online, it's not worth it.
