Reception could certainly be more welcoming. However for price paid Moscatello definitely was good accommodation. Rooms were small, but clean and nice. Bathrooms lovely. Pictures do accurately depict the hotel. Slightly dodgy area, as around train st

+ Room was nice, bed was comfortable. - The worst area possible. very run down and poor. felt dangerous at night. two girls walking back from dinner we had men accosting us. area had more oriental people than italians. hotel itself a nice room but the area i would never stay here again and that is what let it down.

+ The hotel is only about a ten minute walk from termini station and also very close to the collaseum and other tourist attractions so it was easy to get around by foot. also there is a metro stop a couple of minutes walk away. the room was basic but was fairly clean and refreshments are provided free of charge in the room. - Dinner was supposed to be included in the price but the restaurant was closed while we were there and will be closed for the rest of the month.

Very convenient location to the train station Termini and the subway. The area around the hotel isn't posh but we felt safe and were able to walk to a lot of the sites. The hotel staff was very friendly and made sure we were confortable as we were travelling with 2 young chlidren. The room was clean and fonctionnal and the bathroom had been redone recently. The free mini bar was a plus and very convenient to store snacks. The Moscattello certainly isn't a luxury hotel but offers a good compromise when you don't want to spend too much and still have the essentials. We recommend it.

+ It was near to the metro. - No breakfast which we knew about before we went, but it would have been nice.

    - It was not convenient for travellers who had a lot of lugguage and the location of the hotel is kind of spooky.

Middle of nowhere - not handy to walk into town - parking atrocious - very noisy street - empty minibar - no food facilities - overpriced & heating too high !! Wouldn't bother - Rome was fantastic though!!!
