+I loved where it was located. Although it's hard to stay somewhere that isn't good in the center city of Roma. I very much liked the men at the front desk. They were very helpful. -I did not like the water pressure. It changed often and went from scalding to freezing every minute. Very poor. The beds were very hard (I could have slept on the floor and it would have felt the same) the pillows were very high. The blankets were bed-spreads- very hard and stiff. When we took out a blanket from the closet it was dirty. The waiter at breakfast wasn't very nice either! The housekeeper came in our room without knocking.

It's a perfect place to stay in Rome! good breakfast, lovely staff and very good location (really close to the metro and the train station)I'll be back for sure!

Mascagni Hotel in Rome - Fantastic! Hard rock cafe is about a 10-15 min walk from the hotel - quite cheap and very good food!

+ Nice, comfortable rooms, pleasant staff. - Nothing especially negative, but the room was advertised with a dvd player & sony ps, it had neither, but we came to rome to see your amazing city, not play games or watch dvd's!

We thought the hotel was in a great location and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are a bit old, but very clean. We did so much sightseeing that we were not in the hotel that often, but I would reocmmend it for a short stay. We were given a complimentary bottle of champagne because it was our honeymoon which was nice.

Hotel Mascagni I would definitely recommend this 4-star non-touristy hotel in the heart of Rome. The hotel is an even mix of contemporary and old-world Italian charm. My wife and I loved our stay.

The hotel staff were extremely kind and welcoming. They really took care of me. Excellent location, within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navonna and the Pantheon. Great shopping in the area. Room was small and not well lit, but I believe this is the standard for Rome so I am not going to let it affect my future trips there; I am planning to stay at this hotel in November 2006. I liked it very much. Great breakfast included with the hotel rate.
