We recently had our wedding reception at The Mariott Grand Hotel Flora. It was the most perfect location and all of our guests commented on how great the view was from the Rooftop Terrace where our reception was held. The staff were amazing and the service we recieved was excellent. If you are thinking of having a wedding reception here or a party or you just want to stay at a really good hotel that provides excellent service then I would highy recommend this hotel- you will not be dissapointed.

Wonderful Hotel, we were very pleased. We stayed here for 3 nights during July 2006. From Doorman to Front Desk to restaurant waitstaff... everyone was helpful, kind, and completely unphased by our poor attempts at Italian. We stayed in the hotel on Marriott "points" which generally guanrantees the smallest rooms. Ours was not large, but beautifully appointed with a larger than expected ceramic/marble bathroom with separate shower & bath. We have occasionally felt a bit second-class when using our points during travel but that was not at all the case here.

The location is great, just a two minutes stroll from the Spanish Steps and other great landmarks. The exterior of the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are well designed and of good standard. Having experienced great service at other Marriott hotels, my expectations where high before arriving at the "Flora".

We came to Rome to kick off our fortieth anniversary vacation. We stayed three nights at the Flora. It is so close to many of the main attractions that walking is the best alternative (even for older travelers). Our first evening we were very tired and chose to eat in the hotel restaurant. The service from the server and her helper, the bread, the very good local wine and to every perfectly prepared and presented course were wonderful. We struck up conversation and it made the entire meal a great memory. Donatella and Ivando were great. The desk staff is very classy. They are helpful, especially if you know what you want. The rooms are small as many are in Europeon hotels, but very nicely appointed.

Location of the hotel is excellent. The medieval roads of the town goes well with the triangular look of the hotel giving it a unique stand in the city. Close proximity to most of the exciting places in Rome made us over stay our holiday!!! Definitely worth staying and worth experiencing the yummy cuisine, friendly service and warm atmosphere...

I can't help but recall such wonderful times in Rome - and this hotel was all part of them. Convenient to many landmarks and attractions, yet elegant and charming in guest appeal, the Marriott Grand Hotel Flora offers the best of both worlds to all guests. I loved staying here and having the flexibility to walk to nearby attractions. Of course, everyone in Rome walks everywhere anyway - something we Americans should do more often. Watch out for the traffic though. . .those little cars really zip in and out quickly. In other words, don't stand too close to the curb!

We spent two weeks in the Tuscany area and arrived by train around 1:30 in the afternoon for our last night in Italy. We took a short cab ride to the hotel and settled in. The staff was well trained, gracious and helpful. The Spanish Steps are within walking distance. Across the street is Harry's Bar, always a fun place to visit. The Via Vento was a delight to explore.
