While the general area is sketchy, the property is excellent for people staying over who need quick access to/from the train station, and it is filled with tourists/young travelers. The single rooms are very small, even by European standards, but do the job and the property is clean, safe, and well maintained.

Our stay for 5 nights was very pleasant, without any disturbances or problems. It helped to make our short holiday in Rome more enjoyable and relaxing. All staff were both pleasant and courteous - more than I can say for other Italian we encountered! Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. In fact my friend had stayed there the previous week for a wedding and she had the same message to give everyone.

Marconi caters very well for overnight or short term travellers who are merely wishing for a bed before leaving Rome

The room was rather small, but clean and new. Only 1 block from the Termini station, and especially close to the platform for the train to Fiiumicino Airport. Very convenient, and had no problem at all.

The Marconi was a great place to stay for a first time solo traveller to Rome. It is conveniently located close to the Rome Termini train station. It is so close that I actually walked past it a few times before realizing I was there. It can be noisy if you have a room on the street side. However, the location, food, rooms, service, and staff were excellent. I would stay at the Marconi again. They even held my passport for me when I neglected to retrieve it from the front desk at check in.
