Jolly Hotel Midas

Great spring break getaway. Shuttle to downtown convenient. Breakfast was delicious. Do not need European converter for outlets. Good value. Will consider for next trip.

+ The hotel shuttle bus to the city. the breakfast and the dinner selection were great. - Everything was great, but the pool hours could be extended if you wanted to swim later in the evening.

+ Nice and pleasant pool. Rooms with balconies. Free shuttle buses to the city center - A bit far indeed from the the center despite the fact that the shuttle bus is convenient. Taxi is around 16 Euros

This hotel is ideal if your traveling with children. We have stayed at the hotel 3 different times and will be going again at Christmas. They have a bus every hour that takes you into the center of Rome (free for the guest). There is also a McDonalds and supermarket next to the hotel. It has a large pool but it is only open during the summer months. I have recommended this hotel to friends and they enjoyed their stay.

NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL, IF YOU ARE DOING A CRUISE AND THIS IS YOUR HOTEL, GET A NEW HOTEL OR CHANGE TOUR GROUPS. I travel for business all the time and this is the worst hotel I have EVER stayed in. There were exposed wires, water stains on the carpet, they did not take two empty pizza boxes from our rooms, never replaced our towels. I was with a tour group and we all had the same issues. It was filthy and the staff does not like tourists.

+ Great swimming pool, reliable shuttle bus service into centre of rome - The hotel room rate was higher than the rate booked 115 euros instead of 105 euros per room per night. as i had taken my print out of the lower rate, hotel was happy to make the adjustment, but it delayed our checking out and was embarrassing for both parties.

This hotel could pass for a 4 star by proximity to the airport and highway as well as its amenities such as pool and restaurant on sight, we would give it a 3 star reting though, it badly needs renovation rooms hallways and especially bathrooms, clean but............

Was given room #221 on 10/3/2007, the carpet looked like it had been in a barnyard, all the table tops were dirty with glass rings on them, the bathroom countertop had dirty black glass rings on it, the bath countertop at the back of the sink rim had a 1/2 inch of crud along it, the shower/tub had black mold and fungus in various places, the bathroom ceiling had stains and dirt on it, wallpaper was peeling in various parts of the room, one section near the entrance had wallpaper torn off and missing from the wall, the door to the adjoining room had damage to it and pieces torn off, the TV outlet was hanging out of the wall, the 220V outlet by the TV was missing the faceplate and the outlet was broken away from the box and hanging out, the hall and stair carpets also looked like they had been used in a barnyard.

Staff was rude and passably helpful at best
