Run down hotel, but in Great location extremely small room...only enough space to walk around the bed... old hotel, but in a great location... easy walking distance to many of Rome's sights

Great location and staff The hotel is probably a 2 star however the location and staff more than make up for this. I would stay there again which says it all.

Superb value in ideal location. And a great location between the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain (you might want to avoid both once seen!) and the Pantheon/old town. Great restaurants within 5-10 minute radius. Even Vatican and Colosseum little more than 30 minutes walk away.

We loved the Hotel San Silvestro and their courteous staff. Our room was very clean and the hotel was located in walking distance of the sights of Roma. The Staff arranged for us tours of Roma, and assisted us in locating the finest of resturants.

Good budget hotel The location of this hotel, next to Via Condotti, Spanish Steps, Via del Corso, Trevi, etc., made this hotel a great deal. The rooms were very basic, with old somewhat shabby furniture, but clean. The bathrooms had modern fixtures. The air conditioning worked, the breakfast was generous and the staff very nice. For an absolutely no frills experience in Rome, this was a great cheap hotel and I would return. The tiny rickety elevator only fits 1 person and maybe 1 item of luggage, so be prepared to walk up/downstairs a lot. Not recommended for anyone with disabilities or kids. The breakfast room is small and crowded. A hotel for singles and couples, really.

Small hotel, but great location, I would go back When we checked in the hotel did not have our reservations from Expedia, and we were a little concerned, but in the end he was able to find it somewhere in the Expedia system, and gave us a room. The room was very small, but was clean and for a one night stay it was completely acceptable. Beds were fine, slept like a rock after walking all of Rome. The location is great, its easy to find, and close to many restaurants and sights. The breakfast was more than I expected for a continental breakfast, but the breakfast room was extremely cramped. Overall I was satisfied and would stay again if I go to Rome. Good value.
