I'd rather stay in a five star hotel than this piece of junk. It was pretty clean but the price was too much for that hotel...

+ Location is perfect, hotel staff - 24h, everything is clean. - Breakfast is very poor, the breakfast room - very small, however - if somebody does not eat breakfast, things are not so bad. :)

We only saw that this hotel had been given terrible reviews after we had booked 7 nights there so it was a great relief to discover that the Picasso bore little resemblence to the hotel they described. A handy 10 minutes walk from the train station, the Picasso is also ideally situated closer to the centre than most other budget hotels. It is 10 minutes walk from the Colloseum and Roman Forum, 20 minutes from the Trevi Fountain, and the metro to the Vatican or Testaccio area (great restaurants) is close by. The room was very clean, tastefully decorated although a bit rough around the edges, had good air condidioning, a nice bathroom and the view was ok too. It was also very quiet as it is situated on a small road off Via Nazionale. The breakfast room is very small but even in mid August we always got a table straight away. The reception was just a desk in the corridor which was occasionally unattended, meaning a short wait to be buzzed in or out of the main door to the building. On the whole very good value and we had a nice stay there.

Very small rooms, especially the bath rooms and for that, too high prices.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was always friendly. The rooms were clean, the bathroom was nice and the room had a mini fridge. The safe in the room didn't work but there was a safe at the front desk that we used with no problems. The breakfast room was very small but the lady working in it was so nice! It's not fancy but it was very good for the price. We would stay there again.

Location is pretty good, but hotel is poor and not as attractive as it looked in the pictures. Breakfast room is very tiny, you can hardly move. There was nothing else served only dry rolls, cookies and cappuccino. The TV didn't work or had bad signal, a fridge in the room didn't work at all, neither did the safe, and one morning all electricity went out... However, staff was nice and accomodating.

+ Lovely staff, very helpful. brilliant, central, accessible location - Airconditioning repeatedly tripped out all electrics in hotel. made it very uncomfortable for my pregnant wife. no tv remote and herefore no volume control. tiny, cramped, awkward breakfast room.
