Accomodations We arrived late and were concerned about the neighborhood and accommodations. Our concerns were unfounded and we found the staff to be very good. We would recommend this hotel for the traveler who uses a hotel for a place to clean up and sleep. We were close to the metro and many great restaurants.

This hotel worked well for us (a family of 4). However, the entrance is a little creepy. You ring the bell and get buzzed in and then you are left standing in what looks like a vacant building under construction. After trying all doors, you finally figure out that you have to go upstairs to the hotel and through another door(which you have to be buzzed in also). I also didn't like being right above the trash dumpsters in the street that were dumped every night about 3 am. On the good side however, the breakfast was wonderful. The best capuccino in Rome! The staff was pleasant and helpful also. They were very nice with our kids and made them feel comfortable.

Good spot to stop Get to the Trevi Fountain before the tour busses arrive ( before 10:30 am),same goes for the Sistene Chapel and the queues can be very long and check for the days/ times things close. The Forum was fantastic! Best way to get around was on foot especially if you like to see details in the architecture which is everywhere

Not impressed Getting around was easy. Open top bus (hop on hop off all day) was good and the metro was regular and cheap. Take a good pair of walking shoes!!

The free internet workstation is an useful alternative to the wireless connection (5€ per day)

Affordable comfort There are some cafe's and shops in the local vicinity to the hotel. You can buy refreshments in these shops for a fraction of what you pay deeper into Rome. Make use of the metro and buses, it's really cheap.

Great little hotel in the heart of Rome! The staff at this hotel were very friendly and very helpful! We arrived very late (after midnight) and the gentleman at the desk was so kind and helpful in pointing out key places to visit in Rome! For those who like a light but hearty breakfast--the free meal included was very nice! Helped kick-start two rather busy days!

The hotel billed itself as comfortable and convenient and it was both of those things. The staff were courteous and efficient and helpful with general queries. The breakfast was plentiful and good quality continental style fare. But the dining area was v small and people often had to wait till a table became free. It was ideal for a city break. My only disappointment was in the external appearance of the location - rather a dark and bleak street. The entrance is rather forbidding on first sight, especially at night as was our experience. But in the morning we could see it was quite a 'good' area - government buildings and apartment blocks, with some small shops. The shops have shutters over them during the night so this added to the first rather grim impression. The hotel is on the 2nd floor of an old apartment building with entry phone the only means of access (but always promptly answered), large, empty entrance hall and old fashioned lift and bleak, undecorated stairs. But once inside the hotel reception on the 2nd floor it is well furnished and comfortable and everything is fine. Our bathroom in the double room on the corner was rather small and narrow - our two(adult) children's 2 singles both had more spacious bathrooms. I would sugget the hotel get together with the other tenants and pay to make the entrance hall more attractive and welcoming. I caught sight of the entrance hall of the apartments opposite one day when the door was open, and it was attractively furnished, with long drapes tied back, etc, more what one would expect of a hotel. There were several good restaurants in the immediate area which helped when we were footsore after a day's walking. It is reasonably central - we got buses to further locations (cheap all day tickets) but the bus services were a bit few and far between and we had some long waits. We were well satisfied with the accommodation for our purposes which was a long weekend citybreak - reas
