Hotel Centro

We were given a room with a balcony right over the center of the hotel and also a room that overlooked the garden in the back. The rooms were a bit small as to what we are accustomed to, but otherwise very clean and comfortable. We loved our stay and it was very convenient within walking distance to everything that we wanted to see. We would stay here again.

+The staff was helpful and the hotel was within walking distance of the major Roman ruins. We were given an excellent recommendation of a restaurant for dinner-Petrucchi's down near the former entrance to Trajan's Markets-excellent, well-priced food. -The room was very small (smallest we've had in Europe) for the price-breakfast room was over crowded. The bidet in the bathroom was in the way of getting out of the shower safely and easily. Water temp during a 2-minute shower went back and forth between really hot and quite cold about 6 times.

We won't go back to this hotel! All we were looking for was a place comfortable enough to sleep, as we knew we'd spend most of the day sightseeing. It had to be of good value, fairly central, clean, comfortable and have good air conditioning. We were very disappointed! The room we were shown to was so small we felt claustrophobic. It had a damp, musky smell which was most probably due to the obvious damp marks on the walls. The yellow walls were grubby and the room felt unclean. Our air conditioning was noisy and, by no means cool! We couldn't believe anyone would be expected to sleep there, let alone pay to do so. We immediately went to the front desk to complain, (which is not like us at all) where we felt we were given a very frosty reception. We were moved to a better room, in that it was bigger. Still grubby with quieter but still very poor air conditioning. We had breakfast the first morning and opted out the second morning. Only plus for us was the 5 minute walk from Termini station and the 2 minute walk from nearest Metro.

+I had to be at the opera and this hotel is as close as it can be. Also a nice central location for the city. Friendly staff, breakfast is ok. -Room needs some minor repairs.

+de ligging is centraal en dicht bij het centraal station. personeel was erg behulpzaam -ontbijt was erg eenvoudig.

The hotel was adequate for my needs. Room size was adequate, with bed taking up most of the room. But very good bathroom compared to other properties in Rome. Street is relatively quiet compared to others. I can recommend this hotel.

Very disappointed to find that the roof terrace at the hotel was NOT available to ordinary guests,it was only for PRIVATE ROOMS. the roof terrace was one of the main reasons for us choosing this hotel as the reading on the web site made it sound very appealing.

Great location near the the Republica Metro Station, so very easy to go to major sights in town. Also near the Termini which was convenient also. Service was good and the workers helpful.

+The room was clean and spacious and met all our expectations.

+The hotel is in a great location. It was quiet and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again. -Smoking should not be allowed anywhere in the hotel. Someone in a nearby room was smoking and the smoke travelled throughout the floor and into my room.
